Are you a runner or an aspiring runner?  Then join the Safeline team for the Two Castles Run on 12th June 2016 and help us raise money and awareness towards our work.  All money raised will go towards preventing childhood sexual abuse and supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse.

It’s a 10k run and there are 134 days (or 19 weeks) left to train for it!  It’s a beautiful route and (mostly) flat.  What are you waiting for?  Start this weekend…

  • For beginner runners – 10k might sound daunting but if you can walk for 60 minutes then you can start a running training programme like the NHS Couch to 5K.  I’ve used this programme and it builds you up from just 60 seconds of running in the first week, in manageable weekly increases.  In just 9 weeks you will be able to run 5k!  You will then have plenty of time to increase your distance to 10k before race day.
  • For existing runners – there are lots of guides out there, like the Runners World Perfect 10k that offer advice on training and getting the time that you want.

Safeline will provide you with a race T-Shirt and sponsorship form and be there to cheer you on on the big day.  We would ask you to pay the race registration fee, be part of our online sponsorship page and the group photos on the day.

Registration for the event will open at Midday on Tuesday 1st March.  Please contact us office@safeline.org.uk by Monday 22nd February if you want to join our team.
