Charlie has been supported by Safeline over the past 18 months – she has accessed various Safeline services during this time including the Young Peoples Projects (Safeline Young People).   During Lockdown,  Charlie has been using her time to make various cakes for keyworkers, neighbours, friends and family and has now chosen to run her baking and delivering services on this bank holiday weekend to help raise awareness and funds for Safeline.

Charlie’s mum says ” Charlie is a typical 14 year old girl full of enthusiasm and with an absolute passion for baking. Unfortunately, Charlie experienced a rough time a year and a half ago, but fortunately Safeline acted as her saving grace – for which we are extremely grateful. Not only has she made some friends for life, but Safeline has also helped her recognise how strong she is and the amazing future that she has ahead of her!

During Covid- 19, baking has been her go to thing to do. Today she asked me if we could raise money for Safeline to show her gratitude.
As a parent I cannot express the pride I took in her when she said this. So this weekend we will be holding a delivery cake service. All we ask is that you make a donation upon request

They were aiming to raise for £100 for Safeline but their GoFundMe page already stands at £145 before Charlie has even started baking for the weekend. They are blown away by this support and are hoping they will be able to reach £200 by next week.

Thank you so much Charlie – you are a star.
